Maria Phuong – The most amazing place I’ve been to is Yangon, or Rangoon as it used to be known, in Myanmar. Myanmar’s Shwedagon Pagoda is out of this world- giant golden ancient Buddha statues and a huge golden stupa which lit up from below during sunset is a spectacular sight. Back in town and the cultural diversity is intoxicating with offerings from all over Asia, bustling street markets, wide-eyed and freidnly locals, and of course the gorgeous street barbecues of Chinatown with its buzzing atmosphere and effervescent locals. Yangon is absolutely Asia at its best, and a perfect welcome before exploring the rest of Myanmar.

Kan Leak – I’ve been working for NANCO in Phnom Penh now for 5 years, and I am always amazed by the increasing character and buzz of our capital city, as it finds it itself at the top of visitors to Asia’s wish lists. Phnom Penh is alive and kicking, with outstanding restaurants, bars, cultural events and other entertainment options for all visitors touching down here. I love discussing the endless possibilities to our guests, and filling them in on new events and showing them the sights before they set off into the city to take in the atmosphere themselves.

Miss Luong Ha – When I joined NANCO from Vietnam I was thrilled about the opportunity to be able to build upon my passion not only for travel, but also bird-watching. I’d been to most of the best spots in Vietnam, but knew Cambodia was also famous for it’s birding and it was at Prek Toal (a bird sanctuary at the heart of the Tonle Sap lake) that I witnessed this for the first time. It was fascinating as pelicans, storks and giant eagles filled the sky and I watched it all from this beautiful island in the middle of the gigantic lake. Combined with a night of luxury and a romantic meal I have never ever forgotten this experience and love to prepare unique experiences here for our guests.

Seb Coles – Kep and Kampot are unbeatable, and being only half a day from Siem Reap where I live, I keep going back for more! Colonial French charm infused with the sights and smells of the ocean and sizzling seafood in Kep… or in Kampot the laid-back riverside café culture and the best sunset I’ve seen in Southeast Asia … these a few of the reasons why. Relatively untouched, Kep and Kampot are serene unspoilt havens where you can while away lazy days and enjoy taking time out to reflect and soak up traditional Khmer life. Separated by only a 25km stretch of beautiful rural ocean road, it’s a perfect addition to any itinerary and is a delightful way to end your discovery of Cambodia.
